Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress actor, comedian, activist) is a comedian. She was born in Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and began her career after her move from Israel to the United States as a child actor. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials between 2013 and 2016 - and then from 2020 on - made her famous. In addition to commercial appearances, she also appeared as a series regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had a regular role on the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. After being cast in the TV pilot unaired for New Warriors, Vayntrub also is the voice of Squirrel Girl on Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents, who were both just two years old, emigrated to America to escape antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. At the age of five she started appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the difficulties in the family's finances. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit school following her sophomore year. She was able to get the GED and then was able to earn a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from the University of California San Diego. She studied improv comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
